First Aid is a type of social work without any religious, language and caste discrimination. The purpose of using the term ‘social work’ is to find out that the treatment meted out to the people on the spot whether it is due to injury or sudden illness, it should be humanitarian one and not professional gesture. Now we find that whenever any trade fair or social fair or industrial fair takes place in any part of the globe the organizer make it a mandatory to arrange for first aid unit. During these fair any type of unforeseen circumstances like fire, stampede, bombing and skirmishes might take place. In that case what we find out that first aid team takes preliminary responsibility for treatment of the victims and then the victims are taken to the doctors. In US, UK and countries of the Western World the system of first aid are much more organized. There the first aid personnel are trained about the medical aspect and that is why the process of first aid operation seems much more advanced. Generally the role of the first aid personnel should be such that they should be prepared to meet any eventualities and treat the affected persons the way doctors do it.

There are lots of interactions taking place around the world regarding first aid. The common people are not aware what is the logic or what are the aims behind the introduction of first aid. There are certain aims regarding first aid. These are stated as follows:

In different wars of India and overseas in difficult terrains the role of first aid was exemplary. In three wings of the ministry of defense like Army, Air Force and Navy there are recognized first aid team who go along with them in different wars to help the war victims. In the various political and social disturbances in some of the South Asian countries there were quite a lot of political disturbances which had eaten the lives of innumerable of innocent people and several others were injured. Among the injured some recover due to proper first aid while some others live are in a state of jeopardy.

The first aid people are trained with certain basic values in life. The man basic value which all the first aid personnel should aim at is that they should be committed to the society. The injury takes place any time any moment out of 24 hours in a day. Even walking by the road side human beings might get injured. Immediately first aid treatment needs to be administered in the human body along with antibiotic medicine. In this regard there should not be any religious bigotry on the part of first aid personnel. Everything should be on a humanitarian basis. Same thought process should be applied during accidents in any exhibitions or fairs.
